The pundits seemed happy with how Ireland midfielder James McCarthy's first Premier league start went last night but most importantly of all his manager Roberto Martinez was pleased.

A 3-2 win over Newcastle has lifted the Toffee's to fourth position with Coleman and McCarthy impressing, it wasn't all good news though as Darron Gibson was not in the squad.
