Shane Lowry missed the cut by one shot 2 under last night at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, despite carding a brilliant second round of 68.

Lowry had carded a disappointing round of 74 on Thursday and despite his brilliant attempt yesterday, the comeback was a little too late.

Lucas Glover will tee off with a one-shot lead later on 12 under.

Meanwhile, at the Ballantine's Championship in South Korea Damian McGrane is best placed of the Irish on 3 under going into the final round, two shots ahead of Peter Lawrie.

Alexander Noren leads by one shot on 9 under.
