Bill Murray is the latest name to join director Jon Favreau's upcoming take on The Jungle Book. He will play Baloo the Bear - the character who sang the iconic Bear Necessities in the 1967 animated version.
The film will be a live action / CG animation hybrid production. Even before Murray's addition, it already boasted a very promising voice cast including Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, Christopher Walken as King Louie and Idris Elba as Shere Khan.
The film will also feature Ben Kingsley, 12 Years a Slave's Lupita Nyong'o and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito. Young newcomer Neel Sethi will play Mowgli.
Due for release in October 2015, this new Disney take on Rudyard Kipling's classic novel is not the only film in production based on the book. Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis is also set to direct Jungle Book Origins for Warner Bros, which is due out a year after Favreau's version.
