Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng has moved back to the land of his birth, signing for Schalke 04.

The Ghana international joined Milan in 2010 from Portsmouth and won one Serie A title in his debut season.

In January he hit the headlines after he walked off the pitch in protest at being racially abused during a friendly against Italian fourth-tier side Pro Patria.

Meanwhile AC Milan have signed Juventus Alessandro Matri from Juventus. The striker is a gradaute of the Rossoneri's youth academy.
