Bohemians and Waterford have been dunked into the third round of the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Scottish Challenge Cup.
The Irish pair are part of a 32-team tournament which also includes teams from Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland.
The Gypsies play in the tournament for the second year running and have been drawn to face Scottish League One side Airdrieonians away in a crunch third-round tie.
The North Lanarkshire club currently lie fourth in their division after a win and defeat in their opening two league games while they defeated the Hamilton Academical under-21 side 1-0 to progress to the third round.
Bohemians played in the tournament last season but were forced to withdraw after reaching the quarter-finals.
The north-Dublin club won away against Peterhead in their opening game of last season's competition before knocking out English club Sutton United after a dramatic penalty shootout at Dalymount Park.
They were to host East Fife in the last-eight but the original fixture in February was postponed due to an unplayable frozen pitch, leaving supporters angered when the game was called off just minutes before kick-off.
Bohemians officials opted to withdraw citing 'logistical and time constraints' in trying to find a suitable date, with the beginning of the SSE Airtricity League season on the horizon at the time.
However, the club's participation was a hit with the supporters and they accepted the invitation to enter again this term.
Waterford will play the Hearts under-20 side in the third round and will host the match at the RSC.
The ties are due to be played on the weekend of September 7/8.
Meanwhile, the EA Sports Cup semi-final between Dundalk and Bohemians has been rescheduled for this Monday, August 19, Oriel Park, 7.45pm.
The semi-final, which was originally scheduled for Monday, August 5, was postponed due to Dundalk’s European competition involvement.
