Alan Brogan says he knows what to expect from Jim Gavin when the new Dublin football manager takes charge. Brogan is expecting a disciplined style from the former under 21 boss and former air corps pilot.

The All Ireland winning forward says the players are excited about their future under Gavin and hopeful that Gavin’s experience with the underage set up can help Dublin’s younger players thrive with the senior side.

Brogan also confirmed he intends to continue playing for Dublin. The St. Oliver Plunkett’s forward was hampered at the end of last year’s championship by injury but he told Newstalk he is excited about the prospect of continuing with the Dublin side and playing under Jim Gavin.
