Cavan have beaten Armagh by 1-15 to 1-11, in the Ulster football championship preliminary round.
Martin Dunne led the way for Cavan, hitting an 9 points on his senior championship debut. Cian Mackey was the man with the crucial goal on 23 minutes, as he barged through the Armagh defence before driving the ball home.
A goal from Armagh’s Ethan Rafferty with a little over ten minutes left was not enough to close the gap and it was to be a home win at Kingspan Breffni Park.
