The festivities continue in Dublin as they celebrate a 24th All Ireland title and a second in 3 years.

Eoghan O’Gara was part of the squad that won in 2011 but says this one was important as it was necessary to build on what had been achieved and to make sure it wasn't an isolated All Ireland like the ones won in 1983 and 1995.

The view of Dublin since 95 was that they had lots of good athletes but not enough good footballers.

Before 2011 they hadn't even contested a final since 95 although they had some close calls in semi’s against Armagh in 2002 and Mayo in 2006.

Don’t forget they won the minor All Ireland last year while their hurlers also got to the final , Andy Kettle is the Dublin Chairman and I spoke to him about how they created such a talent pool.
