Chelsea's dream of becoming world champions has ended after a 1 - 0 defeat to Brazilian side Corinthians in the World Club Cup final in Japan.
A second half header from Paulo Guerrero was enough for the Brazilian side to win their second Club World title and were the the first South American side to win the trophy since 2006.
Defender Gary Cahill was sent off with minutes to go for an off-the-ball incident while Fernando Torres had a late effort chalked off for offside.
