Clare are through to their first All Ireland senior hurling final in 11 years, following a 1-22 to 0-18 win over Limerick, at Croke Park.
The Munster champions never appeared to settle and Davy Fitzgerald’s Clare side led from the outset, and refused to relinquish their control of the game.
The Banner led by 7 at the break and, despite signs of a Limerick revival in the early stages of the second half, they were able to maintain that control on the game right through until the end.
Calre will now face Cork – the only side to beat them in their 6 Championship games this summer – in the final, on September 8.
