Johnny O'Connor scored Connacht's try and Matt Jarvis - in for the injured Dan Parks - got a penalty for Connacht.

Meanwhile Biarritz were 32-6 winners over Zebre in the other Pool 3 game.

Cardiff Blues are still yet to record a win in this year's competition after losing 45-25 at Toulon in Pool 6.

The French side also advance to the last 8.
