Even if he wasn't injured for the Munster Championship encounter against Limerick on June 9th Lar Corbett may miss the game through suspension.
The former Hurler of the Year was red carded for an incident with Kilkenny defender JJ Delaney during Sunday's Allianz league final in which both players were sent off.
Corbett has confirmed to Newstalk that the rib injury, which will keep him out for up to 6 weeks, was sustained during his tussle with Delaney in the run up to the sending off.
Speaking to Newstalk Breakfasts Oisin Langan Corbett talked about the process of appeal but insists it's up to the Tipperary county board and team management and not him to pursue the issue.
