Damien Cahalane is set to become the latest Cork star to attempt to become a dual player this year.

The Cork hurlers will return to training tonight with senior footballers Aidan Walsh and Eoin Cadogan expected to take part.

The Evening Echo in Cork is reporting that Cahalane is also set to be part of Jimmy Barry Murphy's hurling panel this year.

He was also part of the hurling squad in 2012 but will not be able to train fully for several months as he recovers from a double hip operation.
