Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes Chelsea striker Diego Costa will learn the lesson from his three-match ban.
The Sky Blues go into tomorrow's Premier League game at Stamford Bridge knowing they will not face the Spain international.
The striker's was punished retrospectively for stamping in their League Cup semi-final with Liverpool after the incident was missed by the referee.
Pellegrini hopes Costa will learn from his suspension.
"I think that [it would be a good thing] for him to change a little bit in the future because it's not the way and he doesn't need to do it because he's a very good player," said the ex-Villarreal and Malaga manager.
