A number of counties have been fined for missing drug tests administered by the GAA.
Donegal and Kildare footballers were also fined. The story is in today's Irish Examiner and the information was obtained through the Freedom of information act.
Davy Fitzgerald says the tests were missed simply because Clare changed training venues late on and they have now taken steps to stay in touch with the Irish sports council who administer the tests.
Anti-doping Director Dr Una May says she has no concerns about doping in GAA, adding that when teams miss test it's generally because of late changes of training venues due to poor weather or pitch conditions.
The story in today’s Irish Examiner was written by Kevin O’Brien and John Fogarty and Fogarty spoke to me about the findings and possible ramifications.
