Paul Curran was on the Thomas Davis team that beat Ballymun Kickhams in the 1989 final but last night made it up to the Northsiders by leading them to a first title since 1985 with a 1-12 to 14 points win over Kilmacud Crokes at Parnell park.
Dean Rock scored 7 points for Kickhams who led by 1-8 to 5 points at half time held off Crokes challenge in the second half with Jason Whelan and Rock getting some important late scores. After the game Curran spoke to waiting press including Oisin Langan and told them the secret of their success and why Dean Rock has to play for Dublin in 2013.
