Anthony Daly has told Off the Ball on Newstalk that he'll have an answer for the Dublin county board within the next week or so.
The former Clare All Ireland winner has taken some time off to consider his future as the Dublin hurling manager after their All Ireland semi-final defeat to Cork.
But Daly has promised that he won't keep the County Board or the players waiting for much longer and told us tonight that he expects to announce his decision within the next week or so.
He also hinted at continuing after the break-through season that the team enjoyed: "sure you'd be awful tempted with the year we had, but again are you going to make it better or worse? Better only goes one way, we know the step that needs to be taken to make it better now."
Daly also previewed this Sunday's All Ireland Senior Hurling final between his native county and Cork.
