Dan Martin finished an excellent tenth in the Giro D'Italia as Colombia's Egan Bernal took the famous race in the final stage into Milan.
Martin won stage 17 and would finish 18 minutes and 35 seconds behind Bernal in the final standings.
Bernal did enough on the concluding stage, which was an individual time trial, to end 1 minute and 29 seconds ahead of Italy's Damiano Caruso.
Britain's Simon Philip Yates was third.
Nicolas Roche ended his Tour of Italy in 59th.
The 21st and final stage was claimed by Filippo Ganna of Italy.
Martin's win this week means he has landed stage victories on all three main tours; the Tour de France, La Vuelta and the Giro D'Italia.
