Chelsea could be about to add to their squad with the transfer window back open in two days.

Newcastle striker Demba Ba will reportedly meet with Chelsea representatives tonight about a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Senegalese striker has a release clause in his contract of €9 million.

Chelsea's need for a striker has been exacerbated by the likelihood of Daniel Sturridge leaving for Liverpool in January.

However Newcastle are also set to dip into the market to sign a long-term target.

Alan Pardew's side have agreed a deal to sign French defender Mathieu Debuchy from Lille.
