A magnificent seven try performance led Ireland to a 46 - 24 victory Argentina at the Aviva in their final game of the November Series.
Ireland needed a win to secure a place in the top eight of the world rankings ahead of next months pool draw for the 2015 World Cup and they delivered in style.
Declan Kidney's side ran in four tries in the first half to give them a 24-9 lead at half time.
Craig Gilroy opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a try on his test debut.
Jonny Sexton, Richardt Strauss and Simon Zebo all touched down before the break to give Ireland a 15 point lead.
Tommy Bowe got try number five early in the second half and Sexton got his second try to put Ireland well in control.
Bowe got his second and Ireland's seventh in the 73rd minute, capitalising on poor Argentinean defending.
Holding a 46 - 12 lead with 15 minutes to go, Ireland eased off and Argentina reduced the gap in the final stages as Argentina crossed over for two tries through Tomas Leonardi and Juan Lobbe.
But by then it was too late for the Pumas as Ireland secured a place in the coveted Top Eight.
