Waterford selector Dan Shanahan says it's "bulls***" to refer to the Deise as akin to the 'Donegal of hurling'.
The newly crowned Allianz Hurling League champions' have been criticised for their style in some quarters but Shanahan was having none of it when he spoke to Oisin Langan post-game against Cork.
"Some people say we've gone Donegal. That's total bulls*** to be honest. Our lads are just working. If they see a fella in trouble, they'll go out and hunt and they'll block. That's all we want to do. We want our lads to work and they're working hard," he said.
Shanahan also spoke of the progress made by the team in a short space of time.
"To come where we've come from last year, being relegated to 1B, we took a lot of stick - personally myself and the management team. Myself and Derek [McGrath] stuck together. We got in Fintan [O'Connor] who has been a fantastic addition to us," he said.
