The Down county board has confirmed the appointment of Eamonn Burns as the new manager of their senior footballers.
The County Committee has appointed the 1991 All-Ireland winner as successor to Jim McCorry, while former manager James McCartan is also set to return to management within his native county.
After leading his side to the 2010 All-Ireland final, McCartan has agreed to take charge of the Down Minors for 2016.
