Downton Abbey has had a visit from a real Duchess.

The Duchess of Cambridge has enjoyed an extensive tour of the show's set in west London.

Kate met members of the cast, including Hugh Bonneville and Jim Carter.

And the show's creator - Julian Fellowes - says previous comments from Kate helped make Downton a global hit:
