Dundalk FC coach Filippo Giovagnoli has reportedly told the club that Saturday evening's SSE Airtricity Premier Division game against St. Patrick's Athletic at Oriel Park will be his last with the club.
This comes following manager Shane Keegan handing in his resignation on Friday night.
Keegan, who formally managed Galway and Wexford, was promoted to the top job prior to the start of this season as Giovagnoli did not have the necessary coaching Pro Licence.
Sporting Director Jim Magilton was named on the teamsheet as Interim Manager for the St. Pat's game.

Following a good run through to the Europa League group stages last season and FAI Cup success, the new domestic season has started poorly for Dundalk.
They've just one point from a possible 12 with frustrations growing amongst supporters about how the club is being run by their owners Peak6 Investments LLC and Chairman Bill Hulsizer.
Some fans protested at Oriel Park during Saturday evening's game against St. Pat's with banners saying 'Ran Like A Circus' and 'Temop Di Andare' which is Italian for 'Time To Go.'
