Dundalk have been handed a €50,000 fine by UEFA for 'shadow coaching' and Filippo Giovagnoli has been banned from the technical area for their next two European fixtures.
Head coach Giovagnoli does not have a Pro Licence, but he played a role in the Lilywhites' previous Europa League matches.
He was hit with a ban from the touchline for last week's match with Rapid Vienna and now UEFA's disciplinary arm have gone further, banning the Italian from the technical area for tomorrow's game against Molde in Norway and the visit of Arsenal to Dublin next week.
The club have also incurred the financial punishment for breaching 'general principles of conduct' at matches.
Opposition analyst Shane Keegan, who does have the requisite UEFA qualification, has been listed as Dundalk's 'coach' by UEFA in previous games.
Giovagnoli has been banned 'from carrying out any function of head coach' at games until he gains the relevant badges.
Dundalk have yet to earn a point from their group matches in this season's Europa League to date.
