The Tipperary team are due to take on Dublin in Sunday's Allianz League semi-final in Thurles.
Brendan Cummins, Donagh Maher, Patrick Maher, Pa Bourke and Jason Forde are selected in place of Darren Gleeson, Paul Curran, Conor O'Brien, John O'Dwyer and Eoin Kelly.
O'Dywer and Kelly are both injured.
Tipperary won the Munster Championship for two years running under Declan Ryan but dissapointed in the All Ireland series.
