It has emerged that reports linking Eddie O'Sullivan with the head coach role in Cyprus have been wide of the mark.

The former Ireland chief told Newstalk Sport's Joe Molloy he has been in Cyprus this week but only in an advisory capacity and that he will not be filling any other roles there. 

Rumours had suggested that he would be appointed director of rugby for Cyprus' national rugby team.
