England manager Roy Hodgson has handed first senior call-ups to Tottenham's Andros Townsend and Everton's Ross Barkley for the World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.

After scoring on his debut, Ricky Lambert retains his place. There is also a recall for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling, and with goalkeeper Ben Foster injured, Celtic's Fraser Forster is selected.

England face Moldova at Wembley next Friday, followed by Ukraine in Kiev four days later.
