The head of the body which represents Europe's biggest teams says top clubs are "open" to the possibility of having a winter World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is the chairman of the European Clubs Association.
He says players cannot play in temperatures which would likely hit 50 degrees Celcius.
"The idea is based on periods of time. You could hold a World Cup in January or February and if the World Cup returns to Europe in 2026, you could play it in the summer again," he said.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter admitted for the first time today that awarding the tournament to Qatar might have been a mistake.
