Manchester City's hopes of retaining their Premier League title might now be dead and buried after a 2-0 loss at ten-man Everton.

Leon Osman put the Toffees ahead on the 32nd minute with a dipping long-range effort before Nikica Jelavic sealed the win in the last minute after a lung-busting break by Marouane Fellaini. 

However Steven Pienaar was sent off in between those strikes for a studs up challenge on City midfielder Javi Garcia.

The result leaves Roberto Mancini's men 12 points behind rivals United, having played one more game.
