Manchester United have made a joint bid for Everton pair Leighton Baines and Marouanne Fellaini.

Everton said the bid, which reportedly amounted to £28 million, was rejected 'out of hand'.

They also went on to describe the bid as "derisory and insulting"

Last week Fellaini's buy-out clause expired. The Belgian would have been available for €25 million if a bid had been made before then.

United had a bid for Baines rejected at the start of the window.
