St. Pat’s and Derry City go head to head at the Aviva this afternoon in the FAI Ford Cup Final.
Pat’s haven’t lifted the cup in 51 years while Derry are going for a third cup win in 10 years
Pat"s manager Liam Buckley says the long wait to win the cup doesn"t put more pressure on his players:
Today"s final is a repeat of the 2006 final in which Derry City emerged victorious.
Candystripes boss Declan Devine has no injury worries to contend with.
But Buckley will have Mark Rossiter (knee) and Darren Meenan (shoulder) unavailable.
However his side go in as favourites having pushed for the league title into the final weeks of the season and finished third, qualifying for the Europa League.
Derry finished fifth, 16 points behind the Inchicore based club.
Kick off at the Aviva is 3.30.
