Declan Mullan has entered the GAA history books as the first player to be shown the black card. The Derry player was shown the card in the 50^th minute of his county’s O’Fiach Cup win over Louth at Athletic Grounds last night.

Mullan was shown the card in the 50^th minute of the game, although his absence wasn’t felt too keenly as his replacement, Anthony O’Neill, scored a goal with his first touch.

Derry won the game by 3-11 to 2-10 and now face Armagh in the final.
