A drab 0-0 draw between England and Colombia is still marked to this day.
That shows the impact Rene Higuita has had on the world of goalkeeping, as his "Scorpion Kick" save is still mimicked around the world. Wednesday marked the 21th anniversary of football's most iconic save.
The Colombian goalkeeper was the star as his side faced England in a friendly at Wembley as the hosts continued their build up towards Euro 96. While the game was instantly forgettable, Higuita's save lives long in the memory.
"Human beings are always remembered for their great work, and that was what it was", Higuita revealed in a 2012 interview with Spain's Mundo Deportivo.
