Former England footballer, Paul Gascoigne, admits he thought he was going to die as his organs stopped working after he checked into rehab for alcohol abuse.

The ex-Newcastle and Tottenham star, has told the Sun newspaper, he heard doctors saying they did not think he would pull through.

Gascoigne fell into a coma for three days, but is now back home, and dry, after a month in a Phoenix Arizona clinic.
