Dublin County Committee have appointed Ger Cunningham as the new senior hurling manager.
He has signed a three-year deal to replace Anthony Daly who departed the role at the end of this year's Championship.
From 2003 to 2006, Cunningham was a goalkeeping coach for his native Cork, later returning as a selector and coach in recent years.
County Chairman Andy Kettle said: "This is another chapter in Ger’s distinguished GAA life and I wish him every success in his new role. I am confident that Ger will build on the progress achieved by his predecessors over the next three years."
The three-time All Ireland winning goalkeeper has previous management experience with St. Finbarr's and University College Cork as well as Waterford's Ballygunner.
The Dublin county board say that Cunningham's new selectors and backroom team will be finalised at a later stage.
