Darron Gibson, Andy Reid, Kevin Doyle and Antony Stokes have all been included in interim Ireland boss Noel King's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Kazakhstan next month.
31-year-old Reid has scored 4 goals in 10 appearances for Nottingham Forest this season.
Hull's Robbie Brady has been named but is likely to miss out with a hernia problem, while Aiden McGeady is also included but is carrying an injury and could miss out.
Former Trap stalwarts Simon Cox and Connor Sammon are not included.
As for Stephen Ireland, the pantomime continues as the Stoke City loanee has told King that he wants to play for Ireland in the future but is not ready to return at the present moment until he is in better condition.
There are indications that he may return after the New Year.
Stephen Ireland's told Noel King he's not ready to come back. Doesn't do himself many favours does he
