Jack Grealish says he's "deeply embarrassed" having been pictured at the scene of a crash at the weekend.
The Aston Villa midfielder was seen outside an apartment complex in Solihull alongside an unidentified member of the public.
West Midlands Police said earlier on Monday that they were investigating an incident involving a Range Rover and two parked cars adjacent to where Grealish was pictured.
A white Ranger Rover is believed to have struck two parked cars before it was left parked on double yellow lines.
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the UK public are only allowed leave their homes for work, essential shopping, picking up medical supplies or to offer care.
Grealish says he accepted an invite from a friend to attend a house party.
His club say the former Republic of Ireland U21 international "breached the government guidelines".
Villa go on to say, "The player will be disciplined and fined with the proceeds donated to The University Hospitals Charity in Birmingham."
His actions have drawn criticism from all sides, and the 24-year old took to social media to apologise.

Speaking on Twitter, Grealish said:
"I just want to a quick video message just to say how deeply embarrassed I am about what happened this weekend.
"I know it's a tough time for everyone at the moment - being locked in doors for so long.
"I obviously just got a call off a friend asking to go around to his and I stupidly agreed to do so.
"I don't want anyone to make the same mistake that I did, so I obviously urge everyone to stay at home and follow the rules and the guidelines of what we've been asked to do.
"I know for a fact that I'll be doing that in the near future now. Obviously, like I said, I urge everyone to do the same.
"I hope everyone can accept my apology and we can move on from this and hopefully in the near future we can be out enjoying ourselves again once this has all boiled over."
