Lewis Hamilton has taken his fourth consecutive pole position in a dramatic qualifying session at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.
Paul Di Resta took pole position in his Force India car early on but late flying laps from Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel and Hamilton left Di Resta dropping back to fifth in the dying moments of the qualifying session.
Rain early on had sent most teams scrambling back to the pits for intermediate tyres, while Di Resta took the lead. The rain stopped in the final 10 minutes, however, and the result was a flurry of flying laps and the rapid changing of the names at pole position.
Hamilton becomes the first British driver to take 4 poles in a row since Damon Hill in 1995.
