Galway defender Finian Hanely looks like he'll be fit to face Mayo in the Connacht Championship quarter final on Sunday week.
According to the Irish Times the Salthill / Knocknacarra player featured in a behind closed doors challenge game against Clare at Pearse Stadium and came through out without any ill effect to his shoulder injury.
The Tribesmen have won two under 21 All Irelands in 3 years and many of those players are graduating to the senior grade at a time when Galway football has a healthy look. Hanley has been speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan about the challenge of captaining such a young squad.
