Hector Moreno has reportedly visited Luke Shaw in St Anna Ziekenhuis hospital near Eindhoven after the crunching tackle that resulted in a double leg break for the Manchester United youngster.
Moreno took to twitter to apologise profusely for the injury after the game and stated that he felt bad for Shaw, his family and the fact that the injury occured.
According to reports, Moreno has been to the hospital bearing gifts where Shaw and his parents have been since Tuesday night.
Shaw was set to return to Manchester in order to have surgery on the leg after the game but needed surgery so urgently that he had to have it done in the Netherlands. There are also reports today that Shaw has had a second surgery on his right leg.
United lost the game 2-1 and will most likely lose Shaw for the remainder of the season but he was on twitter just an hour after the incident occured to show appreciation for the messages of support he received.
Thank you everyone for your messages , words can't describe how gutted I am , my road to recovery starts now, I will come back stronger.
