The Republic of Ireland will have to cope without Jeff Hendrick for next month's World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Austria.

The FAI have confirmed that Hendrick has withdrawn from the Ireland squad for the double-header after picking-up an ankle injury with his club Derby County.

The Association say that Giovanni Trapattoni has no plans to call-up a replacement at the moment.
