Ireland's racing fraternity have beaten their English counter-parts for the first time at the Cheltenham Festival.
There have been 14-Irish trained winners at this year's festival - eclipsing the previous record of 2011 and also beating the home team's tally of 13 victories.
The Tom Mullins-trained "Alderwood" was the the runner to get the Irish challenge over the line - living up to his favourite's tag by winning the Grand Annual Chase Challenge.
It was the fourth win of the day for the Irish raiders and capped a magnificant week which featured an opening-day hat-trick for trainer Willie Mullins.
However, the feature event of the festival continues to evade Irish trainers after the favourite, "Bobs Worth" won the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The 11-to-4 favourite claimed the most famous prize in National Hunt racing for trainer Nicky Henderson, meaning that there still hasn't been an Irish winner since 2006.
