England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge should be fit for tomorrow night's friendly against Germany.

That should also mean that he is fit for Liverpool's Merseyside derby clash against Everton this weekend.

Sturridge limped out of England training this afternoon to stir up fears of a lay-off.

The England striker missed Friday's international defeat to Chile.

However, Roy Hodgson has stated that Sturridge will start the game against Germany at Wembley.

If he comes through the game unscathed, he will then be expected to play against Everton in Saturday's early kick-off.

England team to face Germany: Joe Hart, Kyle Walker, Chris Smalling, Phil Jagielka, Ashley Cole, Adam Lallana, Steven Gerrard, Tom Cleverley, Andros Townsend, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge.
