A clinical Mayo side hammered rivals Galway by 17 points yesterday to book a place in the Connacht semi-final against Roscommon, and the victory was helped in no small part by a four-goal salvo.
Three of Mayo's goals came in the second half and James Horan was delighted with the result when he spoke to Newstalk Breakfast's Oisin Langan after the match.
"They carried out the plan exactly," he said. "We gave a lot of year to this game and the preparations are going well and thankfully our application was very strong.
"A lot of the success of today was built on the turnovers. Our forward put fierce pressure on their defence and it really broke them a little bit."
Horan cited the breaking ball and dropping momentum at the start of the second half as areas to improve on despite the dominance of the victory.
