Norwich manaer Chris Hughton has ruled himself out of the running for the Ireland job.

The former Ireland international declared himself to be "very happy" at Norwich, despite being one of the favourites to replace Giovanni Trapattoni

He follows Leeds boss Brian McDermott who also ended speculation regarding his future by announcing that he would be staying at Elland Road.

Martin O'Neill is still the frontrunner for the position.
