Ireland and Leinster back Ian Madigan has admitted he may leave the province at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and may move on to gain more playing time at fly half next season. Johnny Sexton's return to Leinster has seen Madigan's playing time greatly reduced.

Bristol and Harlequins have both been linked with signing Madigan for next season in recent days. Speaking to the Irish Independent, the former Blackrock College student admitted he was open to hearing offers from other clubs.

"At the moment, [I'm] just going through the process of weighing up my options. I'm still waiting for Leinster and the IRFU to get back, I'm waiting for my agent to come back to me on what interest is out there.

"Then we'll go from there. I'll weigh up the pros and cons of staying here, the pros and cons of going elsewhere, the ambitions of the other clubs," Madigan added.
