Earlier this week, the news broke that Andy Lee's world title defence would not take place in Limerick as the champ was recovering from a virus, and the original date of the fight was cutting it too close for him to recover fully.

As a result, the fight has been pushed back to a date in October, and will now take place in the Manchester Arena as he defends his title against Billy Joe Saunders.

This morning, Andy Lee took to Twitter to thank everyone who had worked so hard to get the fight to Limerick, as well as all the fans who had already bought tickets.

Interestingly, Lee doesn't mention the virus or his recovery, amidst rumours that the event was moved as a result of poor tickets sales.

You can hear more reaction to the fight being moved on Off The Ball this afternoon, which starts at 1pm.
