Leo Messi says he's sick and tired of being accused of having too much power at Barcelona and being a scapegoat for their shortcomings.
Antoine Greizmann's former agent Eric Olhats has claimed that the Catalans' captain has made live difficult for the French striker since his arrival at Camp Nou.
“Messi has power over everything," Olhats told France Football. "He is both the emperor and the king, and he did not like the arrival of Antoine."
His attitude was deplorable, he made him feel it. It is a regime of terror. Either you are with him or you are against him.
"He is good on the pitch, but bad off of it. Last season, when Antoine arrived, Messi wouldn’t speak to him, wouldn’t give him the ball. He created real trauma during the adaptation period. That certainly left a mark.”
Messi, who is out of contract next summer, responded to those comments after arriving back in Spain after helping Argentina to a 2-0 win against Peru in the World Cup qualifiers.
"The truth is that I'm a little tired of always being the problem for everything at the club," Messi told reporters on has arrival at Barcelona airport.
"On top of that, after a 15-hour flight, I had the tax authorities waiting for me. It's madness."
