Jason Quigley, European Middlewieght champion, is one of Ireland’s brightest boxing hopes and a man with big plans for the future. Following his win at the 2013 European Championships in Belarus Quigley has added his name to Irish boxing’s top tier of Conlon Barnes and Nevin.

Quigley visited Newstalk studios yesterday to chat with Ger Gilroy, and he spoke of his hopes for winning a World Championship in the amateur game, but also of his ambition to become a world champion in the professional ranks.

Ger started off by asking Quigley how his life has changed since he returned to his native Donegal from the EUBC European Championships in Belarus with a black eye and the title of European champion added to his name.

Jason is a part of the Sky Sports scholarship scheme and he discusses the support he has received from the programme with Ger.
